Our editorial objective

Our goal is to help users compare financial products using clear, practical information about fees, benefits, eligibility indicators, rewards, limitations, and other relevant product features.

Upgrade.Lifestyle is an independent discovery, comparison, and information platform. We are not a bank, lender, credit-card issuer, NBFC, insurer, broker, or financial adviser, and our editorial content does not constitute financial advice or an approval decision.

Our source hierarchy

For financial-product facts, we prioritise first-party issuer information. Depending on the product, this can include the issuing bank's product page, fee schedule, terms and conditions, Key Facts Statement, rewards programme terms, eligibility disclosures, and other official issuer documents.

1

Primary source

Official bank, card issuer, or financial-provider website and documents.

2

Supporting research

Reputable comparison sites or other public sources may help us discover products or identify areas that require verification.

3

Final factual check

Financial facts intended for publication should be checked against current issuer information before they are treated as authoritative on Upgrade.Lifestyle.

How our content is created

Our editorial workflow is designed to separate product discovery, factual verification, editorial analysis, review, and ongoing maintenance.

1

Research

We identify relevant financial products and consumer questions.

2

Primary-source verification

Product features are checked against official issuer sources.

3

Editorial analysis

We assess practical factors such as fees, rewards, limitations, eligibility indicators, and use cases.

4

Editorial review

Content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, and appropriate disclosures before publication.

5

Ongoing updates

Material product changes may trigger an update or re-review.

How we use third-party comparison sites

Third-party comparison websites may be used as discovery tools to identify products, categories, or information that should be independently checked. They are not treated as the final source of truth for financial-product terms.

We do not aim to reproduce third-party reviews, rankings, article structures, or editorial wording. Upgrade.Lifestyle creates its own explanations, comparison frameworks, watch-outs, examples, and category guidance.

How products are selected for category pages

A card may appear in a category when its published features are relevant to that use case. For example, a card may appear in both Shopping and Cashback if its benefits are materially relevant to both categories.

Category inclusion does not mean a product is objectively the best card in the market, suitable for every user, or likely to be approved. We may not include every product available in India.

Where we present multiple cards, the order should not be interpreted as an approval ranking unless a page explicitly explains a ranking methodology.

Facts and editorial guidance are kept separate

Product facts

Fees, reward structures, cashback rates, lounge access, forex markup, fuel benefits, eligibility criteria, caps, and similar factual fields should come from issuer information wherever available.

Editorial interpretation

"Best for" labels, watch-outs, comparison guidance, examples, and category-specific commentary are written by Upgrade.Lifestyle to help users understand how those facts may matter in practice.

Our approach to editorial value

We aim to go beyond reproducing product specifications. Our editorial content may explain trade-offs, highlight limitations, compare use cases, provide examples, identify important terms to check, and help readers understand which product features may matter for different financial needs.

Our goal is not simply to list financial products, but to make complex product information easier for users to understand and compare.

Reviews, updates, and changing product terms

Credit-card fees, rewards, promotional offers, eligibility criteria, merchant partnerships, caps, and other terms can change without notice. We therefore aim to review product information periodically and when we become aware of a material change.

Where appropriate, pages may show a reviewed or updated date. That date reflects when the relevant page or information was last reviewed by Upgrade.Lifestyle; it does not guarantee that an issuer has made no changes since that date.

Users should always verify current terms directly with the issuing bank before applying for a financial product.

Eligibility and recommendation boundaries

Upgrade.Lifestyle may use user-provided profile information and structured product criteria to identify products that may be relevant. These results are informational comparison outputs and are not pre-approvals, underwriting decisions, or guarantees.

Final eligibility, KYC, underwriting, credit limits, pricing, approval, and product availability are determined by the issuing bank or financial institution.

Use of technology and AI-assisted tools

Upgrade.Lifestyle may use software, structured data, automation, and AI-assisted tools to support research, organise information, and improve our comparison experience.

Financial-product information intended for publication is subject to editorial review and should be verified against authoritative sources where appropriate. AI-assisted tools are not treated as authoritative sources for financial-product terms.

Commercial relationships and editorial independence

Upgrade.Lifestyle may receive advertising, affiliate, referral, lead-generation, or other commercial compensation from selected third parties when users view, click, enquire, apply, or purchase through certain links.

Commercial relationships may affect whether a product is present or how it is commercially surfaced, but they do not determine a bank's eligibility, underwriting, pricing, credit-limit, or approval decision.

We may not have commercial relationships with every financial provider or cover every product available in the market. Compensation may influence which products or offers are displayed or their placement, but it does not change the factual information we publish about a product. Where appropriate, commercial or affiliate relationships are disclosed to users.

When we describe how a product works, our aim is to keep factual product information, editorial explanation, and commercial relationships clearly distinguishable.

Corrections and feedback

If you believe a product fee, benefit, eligibility criterion, promotional term, or other factual statement is inaccurate or outdated, we welcome correction requests.

Please send the product name, the page URL, the information you believe should be corrected, and an official source where possible to contact@upgrade.lifestyle.

We may verify requested corrections against official issuer information before updating our product catalogue or editorial content.
